Caitlyn Jenner, like the rest of us, knows that Kylie Jenner is too young to have a baby.

But, even when your loved ones make life-changingly foolish decisions that rock you to your core, they’re still your loved ones.

Which we suppose is why Cait is reportedly being as supportive as she can be of Kylie deciding to become a mother at the ripe old age of 20.

Kylie isn’t the only member of her family who’s expecting.

Khloe Kardashian is pregnant, as we officially learned yesterday … but that’s something that we called a while back.

Oh, and Kim Kardashian is pregnant via surrogate, which sounds like the best way to be pregnant. Kim’s third daughter will be a girl and is due early in 2018.

This has led some to jokingly suggest that the three sisters made a pregnancy pact.

Kourtney already has three kids.

Rob Kardashian of course knocked up Blac Chyna and how has baby Dream … and can look forward to nearly two decades of hefty child support payments to Chyna.

Kendall, in the meantime, won’t even turn 22 for more than a month.

It looks like Kendall reserves her bad decisions exclusively for business and keeps her personal life free of life-altering mistakes.

So far, anyway.

Kylie Jenner on Her Side

Previously, we’d heard that Caitlyn Jenner was exactly as disappointed as you’d imagine upon hearing the news that her youngest daughter was pregnant.

Kylie is, after all, only 20. She was 19 when she got pregnant with Travis Scott’s baby.

In addition to Travis Scott clearly being a rebound from Kylie’s on-again, off-again relationship with Tyga that began when she was a minor, Kylie and Travis started dating in, what, April?

And that’s before they even went public, which happened in May.

Kylie is reportedly due in February of 2018, which according to my math suggests that Kylie got pregnant some time back in May.

(I’m no math enthusiast, which is why I write for a living instead of, like, professional long division, but I’m pretty sure that that’s right)

So, at the most, Kylie and Travis were dating for one month before Kylie got knocked up.

Again, as a teenager.

There’s literally no part of that to make a parent happy … well, except perhaps for Kris Jenner, who must have been seeing dollar signs like a cartoon character after she recovered from her initial shock.

(Remember: Kris probably learned about this in June, just weeks before Rob Kardashian posted revenge porn of Blac Chyna … she must have had one hell of a summer)

Caitlyn Jenner and Her Memoir

Despite Caitlyn’s initial and relatable disappointment, she’s reportedly singing a different tune, now.

People reports that the reality star and former Olympian is expressing optimism about Kylie’s pregnancy.

“She’s happy. She’s ready to be there for Kylie and will be a big part of the baby’s life.”

It’s good that she’s planning to do that, because Kylie really has no idea how much work is involved in parenting.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again — Kylie seems to be great with her dogs (in contrast to Kim, who doesn’t seem to be a pet person, which we cannot understand).

Often, that can translate to great maternal instincts.

But that doesn’t mean that a 20-year-old who is used to living by her own schedule and hanging out with friends is in any way prepared for motherhood.

She’ll be relying upon a small army of nannies and a massive family support network a lot over the next decade or so, we’re sure.

(We hope)

Kylie in a Bra

Caitlyn’s making the right choice by being supportive.

You can’t control people or make them not make mistakes, but you can control whether your reaction is accepting or drives them away.

On some level, Caitlyn has to be excited to meet her grandbaby.

I do wonder — and I don’t mean this in a transphobic way in the slightest — what Kylie’s baby will call Caitlyn.

Like … Caitlyn Jenner is a woman, so normally we’d assume that the baby would call her “Grandma” or one of those variants. Even “Nana,” if you’re from one of those families.

But Cait told her kids that they can still call her “dad” because she’ll always be their father, which is true and totally fine.

Will we see a situation where Kylie calls Cait “dad” but Kylie’s little girl calls Cait “grandma?” Or what?

Of more immediate concern is what kind of naming gimmic Kylie’s going to choose for her kids.
